The Risks We Take

The car driven by Jacqueline Saburido, age 20 at the time, was hit by a drunk driver. It caught fire. She was burned over 60 percent of her body. She survived. But her life was transformed forever.

Share this with your teens. Share this any friends or family who might be tempted to drink and drive. This isn't hokey. It isn't corny. It's reality. This is the risk you take with others' lives when you drive impaired or distracted.

Drunk driving contributed to more than 15,000 fatalities in 2006. Sometimes, they are the lucky ones.
